Welcome to Wee Care Pediatrics — Your Child’s Assigned Primary Care Provider
Your child’s insurance told us that our clinic is listed as their Primary Care Provider (PCP). That means that they chose us to help take care of your child’s health.
If you don’t know us yet, welcome! This page will help explain what this means and what you can do next.

What's a Primary Care Provider (PCP)?
A PCP is the main doctor or clinic that helps your child’s health. This includes:
– Checkups and Physicals
– Vaccines
– Sick Visits
– Referrals to Specialists
– Helping manage care over time.
Many insurance plans, like AHCCCS (Arizona Medicaid), want each child to have a PCP. This way, the doctor gets the right health updates and can give the best care.
Why Did my Child's Insurance Assign Wee Care Pediatrics as their PCP?
If you didn’t pick a PCP when signing up for insurance, they may have chosen one for you. They usually pick a clinic close to your home, even if you haven’t been there before.
What Should I Do Now?
Want to See Us as Your Child's Doctor?
We’d love to meet you! Call us at 480-244-5373 to schedule your first visit.
If you want a little more information about what to expect at your first appointment, you can visit our new patient page here or by clicking the button below.
Already Have a Doctor You Like?
That’s okay! You can call your insurance and ask them to change your child’s PCP to the right doctor. The phone number for your insurance is usually on the back of your insurance card. If you have AHCCCS insurance, you can find the number for your AHCCCS plan by clicking here.
Already seeing us as your doctor?
The list your insurance sent to our office can sometimes take up to 3 months to update. Once they process that you have been seen at our office, you will no longer receive these messages.
If it’s been over a year since you were last seen, your insurance added you to this list because your child is overdue for their well-check. Please call us at 480-244-5373 to schedule your child’s annual well-check at your earliest convenience.
Why It's Important to Have the Right PCP on Your Insurance
– Your child’s doctor will get updates from your insurance
– You won’t miss reminders about checkups or vaccines
– It’s easier to get referrals and follow-up care
– It helps avoid confusion when you need help, like when you visit the hospital
Having the correct PCP makes sure your child get the right care, at the right time.
